Saudi Arabia and Türkiye Sign MoU to Boost Cooperation in Social Services

Saudi Arabia and Türkiye have agreed to enhance cooperation in social services following the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Saudi Minister of Human Resources and Social Development Ahmed Al-Rajhi and Turkish Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş. The signing took place in Doha on Wednesday, on the sidelines of the Second World Summit for Social Development (WSSD) 2025.
The agreement aims to strengthen collaboration and the exchange of expertise in key areas, including family welfare, women’s empowerment, child protection, elderly care, and services for people with disabilities. Both ministers emphasized that the partnership reflects their countries’ shared commitment to improving the quality of life and advancing sustainable social development.
During their discussions, the ministers reviewed successful national initiatives in social care and explored ways to align their programs for greater impact. The MoU is expected to open new avenues for joint projects, policy coordination, and professional training in the field of social welfare.
The partnership marks a step forward in Saudi-Turkish cooperation, highlighting both nations’ growing focus on human development and inclusive social progress.
