Saudi Arabia has reiterated its dedication to fostering international peace and security during its participation in the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York. The Kingdom’s Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, emphasized Saudi Arabia’s ongoing support for dialogue and mediation in addressing regional and global challenges.
During the UN gathering, Saudi Arabia underscored the importance of international institutions in upholding peace and international law. The Kingdom also highlighted the significance of state sovereignty, peaceful dispute resolution, and the protection of navigation rights through international waterways amid persistent regional tensions.
At this year’s UN assembly, Saudi Arabia is focusing on the responsible use of artificial intelligence and sustainable development. Prince Faisal stated that AI would be a key tool in improving efficiency, supporting innovation, and contributing to economic and social development, aligning with the goals of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 initiative.
As a member of the United Nations since 1945, Saudi Arabia continues to engage actively in multilateral forums. The Kingdom has been involved in diplomatic efforts concerning various conflicts, including those in Ukraine and Gaza, reinforcing its commitment to international cooperation and conflict resolution.
