Hong Kong and Saudi Arabia Forge Promising Tech Partnership for Growth

Hong Kong is intensifying its collaboration with Saudi Arabia to bolster its status as a global hub for innovation and technology, according to Chief Executive John Lee. This announcement came during a meeting with Saudi Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdullah Alswaha.

The meeting coincided with the LEAP East technology exhibition, which is being hosted in Hong Kong for the first time outside the Middle East. This prestigious event has attracted hundreds of speakers and exhibitors from various countries, underscoring the expanding global cooperation in the technology sector.

John Lee emphasized that the hosting of LEAP East in Hong Kong signifies the strengthening ties between the city and Saudi Arabia. He highlighted Hong Kong’s strategic role as a gateway connecting international enterprises with Asian markets, reinforcing its importance in the global business landscape.

Lee also extended an invitation to Saudi Arabian companies, entrepreneurs, and technology experts to leverage Hong Kong as a strategic platform for expanding their operations in Asia. He pointed out the potential for enhanced collaboration in the fields of innovation, technology, and investment.

The discussions between the Hong Kong leader and the Saudi minister highlighted a mutual commitment to fostering economic and technological ties, as both sides explore new avenues for long-term partnership and growth.
