Saudi Arabia Criticizes Israel’s Military Action in Lebanon

Saudi Arabia has issued a strong condemnation of Israel’s recent military actions in Lebanon, labeling the incursion as a breach of Lebanese sovereignty and a threat to its territorial integrity. The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs has urged the global community to intervene and prevent any further escalation that might lead to an expansion of the conflict within Lebanon.

In its statement, the Kingdom stressed the importance of safeguarding Lebanon’s sovereignty and ensuring the safety of its citizens, emphasizing adherence to international agreements and legal standards. Saudi Arabia also reiterated its support for the Taif Agreement, an accord aimed at restoring peace and extending the authority of the Lebanese government throughout the nation.

The call to limit the possession of arms to the Lebanese state and its legitimate institutions was also highlighted by Saudi Arabia. By supporting these measures, the Kingdom aims to bolster national stability, security, and governance within Lebanon.

This latest statement underscores Saudi Arabia’s ongoing commitment to Lebanon’s sovereignty and its appeal for efforts to prevent further regional tensions. As the situation develops, the Kingdom remains vocal in its support for initiatives that promote peace and stability in the region.
