Saudi Arabia and Pakistan Deepen Economic Partnership with New Cooperation Framework

Date:

Saudi Arabia and Pakistan have established a new economic cooperation framework aimed at expanding trade, investment, and development ties between the two nations. The agreement was reached during a meeting in Riyadh between Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
The framework focuses on promoting strategic projects in key sectors such as energy, industry, mining, information technology, tourism, agriculture, and food security. It also seeks to enhance private-sector collaboration and boost bilateral trade exchanges.
Both sides emphasized that the initiative builds on their historic partnership and reflects a shared commitment to sustainable growth. The two countries have already signed a Memorandum of Understanding for an electricity interconnection project, marking another step in deepening cooperation.
This latest agreement follows a series of recent developments, including a landmark defense pact and multiple investment MoUs signed last year, underscoring the growing strategic and economic alignment between Riyadh and Islamabad
