Saudi Cabinet Backs Gulf Allies, Calls for Regional Tensions to Cease

Saudi Arabia’s Cabinet, led by King Salman bin Abdulaziz, has reiterated its unwavering support for Kuwait, Bahrain, and Jordan amid escalating regional tensions. Meeting in Jeddah, the Cabinet strongly condemned actions that breach international law and underscored the importance of safeguarding the Gulf’s security and stability.

In a firm call to action, the council urged an immediate cessation of all military escalations in the region. They emphasized that diplomacy and dialogue are crucial for maintaining peace and ensuring the safety of civilian populations in this turbulent period.

During the meeting, ministers also took the opportunity to review the latest developments affecting the region. A significant point of discussion was a recent phone conversation between Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Lebanese President Joseph Aoun. This dialogue highlighted Saudi Arabia’s ongoing commitment to Lebanon, which President Aoun acknowledged with gratitude, recognizing Saudi efforts to promote regional peace and stability.

The Kingdom’s stance reflects a broader commitment to regional cohesion and the pursuit of diplomatic resolutions as a means to quell tensions. By reaching out to neighboring countries, Saudi Arabia aims to bolster alliances and foster an environment conducive to peace and prosperity throughout the Gulf and beyond.
