Kazakhstan Honors Muslim World League Chief with Order of Friendship

Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev awarded the Order of Friendship to Sheikh Mohammed Al-Issa, Secretary General of the Muslim World League and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, during a meeting at the Presidential Palace in Astana.
The honor was given in recognition of Al-Issa’s contributions to strengthening ties between nations, advancing interfaith cooperation, and promoting peace and religious understanding. The Order of Friendship is one of Kazakhstan’s highest state awards for fostering international harmony.
Expressing gratitude, Al-Issa said the award symbolized appreciation for the MWL’s global efforts rooted in the values of Islam and its commitment to coexistence.
