Saudi Arabia Highlights Quality Education and Green Initiatives at Chile Summit

Saudi Arabia, representing Arab countries, emphasized its commitment to quality education and sustainability at the World Summit on Teachers in Santiago, Chile. The Kingdom’s delegation was led by Deputy Minister of Education for Planning, Saad Al-Ghamdi, and included senior officials from the Ministry of Education and the National Institute for Educational Professional Development.
Speaking at the High-Level Steering Committee for Sustainable Development Goal 4, which focuses on inclusive and equitable quality education for all, Al-Ghamdi reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s dedication to advancing global education goals. He outlined the Kingdom’s vision to enhance educational quality, promote green and sustainable learning initiatives, and instill values of tolerance and coexistence.
Al-Ghamdi highlighted the central role of teacher empowerment through continuous training and fostering an environment that encourages creativity and excellence. He stressed that investing in education is an investment in human capital and called for stronger international partnerships and innovative financing tools to ensure every child and youth can access quality education and contribute positively to their communities and the world.
