Bahrain, Saudi Arabia Boost Research Ties with New Cooperation Agreement

Date:

Saudi Arabia and Bahrain have formalized their commitment to bolster cooperation in research and knowledge exchange by signing a memorandum of understanding. The agreement, sealed in Riyadh, involves the King Fahd National Library and the Bahrain Center for Strategic, International and Energy Studies.

The memorandum sets the stage for both nations to share scientific and knowledge resources, facilitate the exchange of information and documents, and encourage visits by researchers and specialists. This partnership aims to enhance collaboration between research institutions and national libraries in the two countries.

In addition to resource sharing, the agreement outlines plans to host joint seminars, workshops, and conferences. It also includes the development of training programs designed to support research activities and promote knowledge-sharing initiatives across borders.

This strategic move is intended to deepen institutional cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, fostering a robust framework for preserving, producing, and providing access to knowledge. Both countries aim to leverage this collaboration to strengthen their scientific and educational ties.
