Saudi Arabia Signs State Partnership Agreement with US National Guard

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Defense has signed a State Partnership agreement with the US National Guard of Indiana and Oklahoma, aiming to boost defense and security cooperation between the two countries. The agreement was formalized at a ceremony in Riyadh with senior officials from both sides present.
The partnership falls under the US Department of Defense’s State Partnership Program, which includes over 100 global collaborations. It focuses on strengthening joint defense capabilities, improving readiness of the Saudi Armed Forces, conducting joint military exercises, and enhancing leadership, strategic planning, and crisis management skills.
Future initiatives will include officer exchanges, joint field training, leadership workshops, and cooperation in emerging areas such as artificial intelligence and disaster response. The partnership also envisions cultural and community projects to foster stronger ties.
Officials emphasized that this agreement represents a long-term strategic investment, designed to enhance the readiness of Saudi forces, support regional stability, and strengthen bilateral defense cooperation between the two nations.
