Saudi Arabia’s Cabinet has denounced recent Houthi attacks on civilian and economic sites in various cities, including Abha, Khamis Mushait, Jazan, and Najran, labeling these incidents as acts of aggression. In response, the Cabinet asserted the kingdom’s right to defend its sovereignty, citizens, and residents. The ministers also voiced disapproval of the Houthi assaults on commercial vessels and international maritime navigation within the Red Sea.

The assaults reportedly injured over 70 individuals, among them women and children, across multiple Saudi cities. Authorities have been instructed to ensure that those injured receive the highest level of medical attention. The Cabinet’s discussions also extended to developments in the Palestinian territories, focusing on Arab efforts to curb Israeli actions in Jerusalem and the expansion of settlements.

Presiding over the meeting in Jeddah, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman updated the ministers on his recent dialogues with leaders from Egypt, Greece, and Oman. These discussions are part of broader diplomatic engagements aimed at addressing regional and international concerns.

In addition to the regional security issues, the Cabinet welcomed a recent agreement between Saudi Arabia and Germany to establish a strategic dialogue. This initiative is designed to enhance consultation and coordination between the two nations, reflecting a commitment to strengthening bilateral relations.
